It’s been months since I wrote anything, weird months of an absurd year that we will never forget, but that I hope we will be able to put behind us soon.

Uncertainty, fear, isolation and distance forced us to change our habits, but also to discover new ways of sharing, to feel connected to each other, to study and work. Nevertheless, these new habits can’t satisfy our need for human contact, for exchange and for connection with nature and with the others. New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and after all these difficult months it reminds me that everything has an end and a new begin: this makes me look forward with excitement craving for a better future. I have no idea how this new year is going to be: I don’t know if we will go back to work or if we will be together again. I hope so, but I really don’t know. I perceive deep inside me, and stronger than even before, the value of time, the flow of every moments of life. I am sure that it became even more precious, because we realized that we can lose in a while the chance to do what we want and with whom.

So every moment spent with our family, our friends, connected with nature or doing what we love takes on a different meaning, something that I hope we will never forget.

The greatest lesson 2020 has taught me is to invest time in the best way. This is right on the top of my commitments list, but I also feel the urge to share time with travellers and help them to be happy by visiting Sardina: a honour and a responsibility that is given by my job. Taking care of someone’s else happiness is a serious matter, because when you’re on vacation your time is worth much more than mine. Yes, because it is that magical time where desires live and emotions are created: an unforgettable time.

I hope that soon, very soon, you will be able to travel again and get a plane or a ferry to come to Sardinia. Our Island is waiting for you to share those open, safe and welcoming spaces that you have missed so much. To experience the wild, capable of reinvigorating your mind. To amaze you with our history, so ancient, unique and charming. To dive in a crystal clear sea teeming with life or to practice sport. To travel along quiet roads, tasting our local products cultivated or made with care.

Sardinia is a wonderful world, I suggest you to bear in mind that when you will choose your next travel destination: You won’t certainly regret it!
