We are on the west coast in the province of Oristano.
The Sinis peninsula is a particular place among the most appreciated by tourists, with famous beaches, archaeological sites, nature and culture. To the south of the peninsula is Capo San Marco, a promontory overlooking the sea, a wide strip of land washed by the open sea on one side and the sea of the Gulf of Oristano on the other. This “double sea” makes it a popular destination for surfers who enjoy the open sea but also for families who love small quiet beaches overlooking the Gulf of Oristano.
Very green, wild and home to one of the most famous archaeological sites in Sardinia: Tharros, where you can make a journey through history from the Bronze Age to the Aragonese domination and, climbing the Spanish tower perfectly preserved, enjoy a unique view. After the journey into history you can immerse yourself into the nature and follow the path that leads to the lighthouse located at the end of the Cape. Walking you can find land turtles, an incredible variety of flowers, sea and land birds that nest in the cracks of rocky cliffs that drop sheer to the sea. A journey into nature, to discover a beautiful territory that not surprisingly was already populated in prehistoric times.
